Continuing its efforts to eradicate the menace of drug peddling from the society, Budgam Police arrested a drug peddler and recovered contraband substance from his house.

In a statement issued to media Reads that police Station Magam received information from reliable sources that one person namely Mohammad Rafiq Sheikh S/o Abdul Razak Sheikh R/o Mazhama Magam has concealed Narcotic Substance at his residential house for its illegal sale amongst youth of the area.

Upon this information, a police party of Police Station Magam led by SHO Magam raided the house and conducted the search and recovered ’50 bottles of Codeine Phosphate’ from the house of the accused person and he was subsequently arrested on the spot.

A Case FIR No. 161/2024 U/S 8/21 of NDPS Act was registered at Police Station Magam and investigation has been taken up.
